Is Ellen or Joan the mother of Laurence?

Question

I am confused as to whom is the mother of Laurence Tyler.  His father married Ellen Sales and then married Joan Ellis on 23 May 1580 and Laurence wasn't born until 1590.  Ellen didn't die un 24 Jul 1611.  Can you straighten this out for me.  I am a direct descendant of Laurence Tyler, I think after all of this confusion.

This is an example of unproven/undocumented information being included in the Wikitree system. When looking at other sources (Ancestry, FamilySearch, and the like) there are numerous conflicting listings for Laurence Tyler and Laurence Tyler, Jr.

There needs to be more research into the actual lineage, but most likely, someone with access to original records will need to weed out some of the speculative and conflicting information surrounding Laurence Tyler.
