Enos Snow married to Rhoda Dillingham , and  I believe my ancestor Joshua Snow born Jan 16 1760 , their son. He entered the  revolutionary war at the age of 17 and served through the war. He came to Royalsborough abt 1782 and married on 13 Jan 1785 Molly Roberts of Durham Maine. I have documented his linage from his marriage with DAR any help with proving he is Enos son would be appreciated.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Snow-6694   I think this is the person where you are trying to prove his father?

Here's another complication Snow-6694 is a duplicate profile of earlier file Snow-6279.

They are the same. An early DAR application was made by his son Joshua Snow who married Lucretia McIntire. My  DAR application was just approved showing his son Simeon Snow  b 1 Dec 1792 who married Sally Wilson. Hope this helps

"Joshua Snow Son of Enos and Rhoda his wife born Jan 16 1760" recorded in the town records of Harwich, Barnstable County, Province of Massachusetts Bay. Harwich Vital Records. This from American Ancestors, a subscription site.

And this short paragraph in History of Durham, Maine. This appears to be a different Snow than Joshua of Harwich

Per Town and City Clerks of Massachusetts. Massachusetts Vital and Town Records. Provo, UT: Holbrook Research Institute (Jay and Delene Holbrook), the son of Enos and Rhoda was born in Harwich, Massachusetts.

The DAR records indicate a birth in New Hampshire.   There is another Joshua Snow born in New Hampshire in 1761.

Profile for Joshua Snow is for the one born in Salisbury Mass, which is close to the New Hampshire border. He is apparently the subject of the DAR ancestor, and names Molly Roberts as his wife. However, Salisbury vital records do not have a birth record for a Joshua Snow. The Salisbury Snow is also the subject of the Durham, Maine entry referred to in my answer above.

It appears that there may be two Joshua Snows of the same age, and it will take more detailed research to determine which one is correct. I am bothered by the lack of a birth record and known parents of the Salisbury Snow.
