Rosalind HARE Rust was my Gr Grandmother Joseph died of poisoning  a couple of years after coming to NZ with his brother John Rust my GR GR Grandfather

theres a Road in Whangarei named after the family Rust Ave in central Whangarei

we are descended from the Earls of Angus Glenbervie Douglas and the Stewarts / Stuarts

I have as yet still not found out what the Hare means? !

The name Hare appears to be a surname of Irish or Scotch origin. Perhaps your great grandmother was given that name because there was someone in your family by that name, or it is for someone her parents admired ?
