John Burnett of Essex County VA in the Tree is INCORRECT

Question

John Burnett of Essex County VA was not connected to the House of Leys in Scotland he was an indentured servant imported to the colonies in 1653.  The siblings and parents for him in the tree are false.  The work of June Bork has been disproven.  The mention of John Burnett in Eileen Bailey's book was research provided to her by June Bork.  I can provide a 32 page research paper disproving June Bork's work.

Susan, it looks like he's been detached from the inaccurate parents.

Is he still attached to inaccurate offspring?

He is attached to the correct children, not sure who the unknown daughter is that is listed there.

John Burnett Sr's daughter Sarah married Thomas Bell.  I think this is what you are referring to

Phoebe's profile includes the text of a will of Thomas Burnett Jr which names her has his daughter. I'm not sure which Thomas Burnett that should be; can someone please clarify which profile she should be moved to? Thanks.

Nobody should be detached right now.  There is still a lot of work to do on this line. Phebe is a daughter of John and Lucretia, she also has a niece named after her.  It is going to take a long while to get this all straighten out.  Here is a link to our ancestry tree called Burnett Primary Sources where you can see what we are doing and how things are fitting together,  We have just started doing Wikitree with this information in the last week or so.  I just tried to put a link to it here and it didn't work.  Search for my user name on ancestry susankromerhunt and the Burnett Primary Sources tree Including FTDNA data should come up

Okay, I'll follow your lead; let me know where and when to place project protection. Since you're new, you may not know about it. It's a way to have a project (a group of volunteers) keep tabs on a profile; it also prevents changes in last name at birth, parents, spouses and children.
