I am stuck finding the mother of Jane Holt (1832-1911)

Question

Jane Holt born 29 April 1832, died June 1911.  The 1851 Census listed John 40 (father), Jane 17, Elizabeth 17, Rachel 10, Squire 7 and John 6 but no mother.  Jane Holt married  James Howson 25 Dec 1851 (both minors) and the marriage certificate list father as John Holt, engineer.   From Jane’s baptism record the mother is listed as Sarah Holt.   I am trying to find the maiden name of Jane’s mother Sarah Holt.  If anyone can help the would be great.  Ancestry DNA lists a number of John Holt and one married to Sarah Ashworth but the children don't line up.  Regards Gary Whiteside, Christchurch, New Zealand (almost Covid free)

Hi Gary - may I suggest that you create profiles for all the family members that you have info and sources.  Often we can find clues by researching children, spouses, siblings.  Broaden your search area.  Holt is a very common surname.
