Question about Armor Kelley

Armer Kelley is my 5th great grandfather.  Still searching to identify Armer's father, I have some ideas.  From the federal census I know Armer's father is from Ireland and mother from Virginia.  I've done a lot of research, is there any other methods, records, and/or suggestions you may be able to provide outside of the normal research materials/methods?!  Thanks!

look at the names of his children

these old families kept the same first names through the generations - sons were named for father and grandfathers or favored uncles, daughters for mother, grandmothers, favored aunts. Search for records of an older generation of Kelley same names as the children

William was not in Buncombe a year after his grant for the 1800 census

possibly the father or brother of Thomas ?
the Hiram Kelley given in several Ancestry trees was not Armer's father. Hiram lived and died in Massachusetts
Thanks!  My belief is that Alexander Hamilton Kelley is Armer’s father who is listed on the 1790 federal census in Burke County NC.  Alexander arrived in Philadelphia in 1782 as a Carpenter’s Apprentice and was listed as a Run Away in the Philadelphia Gazette in 1785 and didn’t reappear until the 1790 federal census in Burke County.  I did find on a land survey request in 1837 that was requested by Armer that his land was adjacent to Alexander’s.  From my research, family members always stayed close, so my belief is that Armer and Alexander are related and I’m trying to understand that relationship, hoping that Alexander is his father.  In the 1840 federal census, it shows that Armer lived in Union County GA, which means that he moved his entire family from Burke County to Union County, which is a monumental move at that time.  It was in one of the later census’s that Armer listed his father was from Ireland and mother from Virginia.  Any additional help/insight into Armer and Alexander would be Greatly Appreciated!  Thanks, Kurt Kelley

I found information on Familysearch.org (free site) that shows his marriage to Sussannah Hunter on Jul 18, 1829 was in Haywood, North Carolina, instead of Georgia, And has parents listed as being born in North Carolina rather than Ireland and Virginia.  I couldn't find any sources on Familysearch that actually tie the parents shown there to Armer.

        "trees" are not sources

wikitree profiles need to be documented  cool

There are sources on that Familysearch profile Eddie.  That is why I recommended it.  A marriage record is a source.
        my apology

did not view the "tree" as I do not work in familysearch, just Ancestry
