Ancestor Listmaker - Lots more Euro Aristocrats!

I just revised the European Aristocrats category in Family Listmaker to include profiles with the European Aristocrat or British Isles Aristo templates on them. The app had formerly only included profiles with the EuroAristo sticker or European Royals and Aristocrats template on them. For those with European aristocrat ancestors, adding the two other templates may result in a huge increase in the number of European aristocrats found and listed by the app. For example, in my case, the number jumped from 6 to 343.

Chase, thank you. This is a very helpful work-flow organizational tool. It's also pretty neat.

By the way, a lot of new goodies in there!  Filles de Rui, French & Indian Wars, & more!

Thanks!

My list for the European Aristocrats category went from 1 to 52. My paternal  grandmother has 149 ancestors within 20 generations who meet the European Aristocrats list criteria.

I need a hand then from someone in Euro Aristo, as to what allows someone to be considered Aristocrate. I am talking in regard to Molesworth-131, ascendants and descendants. Thank you.

Hi Ben, certainly Robert Molesworth falls within the scope of the European Aristocrats project.  However, since the advent of 'location' projects (such as England, Germany, Ireland), we (Euroaristo) have had those projects oversee the management of all but the 'royals' in their respective countries.  As such, we wouldn't add the EuroAristo project box, which is what Chase, I believe, is using for his program.

Thank you for getting back to me. British politicians is certainly the best box for him, which is already on his profile. It's just a pity that it doesn't come up in Chase's search. It is a good little search feature. Thank you for your time.

How does one join the European Aristocrat project? The answer is currently closed. Also I would like to know what the code is to put on my profile that I am related to an aristocrat. Thank you so much for your help!

See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:European_Aristocrats . There is a section on that page about how to join.

Hi Leia, I've awarded you the European Aristocrats project member badge.  We have revamped the project, and it oversees a much smaller group of profiles.  Depending on your interests, you may want to join the England project (or France or Germany or Ireland or . . .) as those projects now oversee the majority of the EuroAristo profiles.

If you want to note a descent from a particular ancestor on your personal profile, you can add a link to their profile on your profile.  If the ancestor happens to be part of the Magna Carta project, you can add a descendant sticker to your profile.

Nice app Chase.

Another category you might be interested in, which is starting to become reasonably meaningful is "Domesday Book". It is much bigger than the Companions category where we have taken (I think necessarily) a conservative approach and only have 18 people.

Thanks, Andrew. I'll take a look at that.
Just added it as a list option
