Clear birth record is gonna be hit or miss in 1809 era Stokes, NC. We know that "Millie" Swaim was the daughter of William Swaim & his wife Nancy Ann Robbins from mention in William's LW&T and a Family Bible record. We also know Millie Swaim married Michael John Killion from Marriage Records. And finally, we know that Swaim family naming traditions were pretty strictly held that the second born son is named after the Mother's Father. The fact that his middle name is Swaim is another strong clue as the name Swaim in N America has a very clear lineage back to a single Dutch immigrant ancestor.
But unfortunately, rural NC did not start officially recording birth statistics until the mid to late 1800's, so unless there is another Family Bible out there or a marriage record that includes parents, there's just not much available as documentation of parentage in that time period.
