Advice before editing this pre-1700 Balcom profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Alexander Balcom III. This is what I can add:

• Marriage to Sarah Woodcock

These are the sources I am using:

• Massachusetts Marriages, 1695-1910

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

You are on the wrong profile to make that addition. Alexander Balcom [III] was born in 1696. His father was the one who married Sarah Woodcock. Alexander Balcom-165 is the correct one to add the marriage source to.
