where is the match algorithm source code?

After briefly using the match algorithm I noticed it does not include location and many other attributes. From an outside the box view it appears to use a string match for name and date.

For example Sally is not equal to Sal, it is 2 edits away, and Sallen is also 2 edits away from Sally. So, Sal and Sallen are equally different from Sally and both are considered equal matches. Kind of like spell check.

Since this is a wiki I assume the algorithm source code is available to review.

I looked through the questions and I don't see anything this detailed.

Hi Forest,

This is a wiki but not all our code is open source. Check out http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/WikiTree_FAQ#Is_WikiTree.27s_software_open_source.3F

If you're a programmer, maybe you'll join our WikiTree Apps community. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:WikiTree_Apps

This (adding more parameters to the algorithm) is something that would greatly enhance this site, IMHO.

If asked, I would be more than happy to work on expanding the algorithm.
