How can I be sure that my DNA test has been uploaded and is available for anyone looking for a distant cousin?

Wikitree doesn't store DNA data, just the fact that you've taken a test or tests.  Once you enter that information on your profile it will propagate back through your direct ancestors (over the next 24 hours) and will put a message on their profiles that you have been tested.  We also recommend that you upload your DNA data to Gedmatch in order to reach potential relatives.

If you click on the profiles for your father, grandfather, or great-grandfather you will see the DNA message.
