I would like to create dau's named in the father's will by only their husband's names. What is the best way?

The LNAB is known to be McManus.  It is the first name that is Unknown, only as "Dau"

Should I use Dau or Unknown as given name.  Where would I put "Mrs" ?    Sorry it was confusing.
You call them 'Unknown'.  Unknown McManus.  Then on their edit page, you put their Current Last Name as the name of the relevant husband (you needn't create him if you don't know who he is).

You don't put 'Mrs' anywhere.

Thanks Ross, You're right, KISS keep it simple.

I'm just going to leave it in the fathers profile. Actually just realized we aren't sure which kid is from the first or the second wife anyway.  Will leave it alone.

Thanks to all who helped me "get there." blush

Genealogical standards require that females are identified with their birth (maiden) names and not with their married names - although the married names can be attached as well.

Part of the reason is because married names can and do change - depending on how many times they were married.

Surely, if you are certain they are his daughters, then they will have his surname as their LNAB?
