New Member Introduction

Question

I am researching my family tree and have hit a brick wall with a couple of 3rd great grandparents. I have their names, but no information on their parents or siblings.

Hartwell I Lyon (1818 Georgia, USA -1880 Lowndes County, Mississippi, USA)

John William Mann III (found in the last 30 minutes)

James Richard Murray (1808 Mecklenburg, Virginia, USA - 9/29/1890 Tennessee, USA)

Ellen Asley Roach (7/1818 Rockingham, North Carolina, USA - 1876 Cherokee, Texas, USA)

And a great aunt Arminta “Minta” Richards (d. 1905-ish Cherokee, Texas, USA?) this is a potential tie to Cherokee in the area as she was adopted. But I cannot find any documents regarding her Native name. I have a hand written letter from my Great Aunt Connie Richards Montgomery from before she died that tells more, but it is a photocopy and is dang near illegible at this point.
