laughlaugh  Ha ha!

Never let it be said you are lacking a sense of humor, Herb
What does the saying full of beans mean?
to have a lot of energy and enthusiasm: I've never known anyone be so full of beansbefore breakfast. Energetic and lively. a spring in your step idiom. alive.
Herb, can you buy that stuff by the case or the truckload?  I would donate a few cases for Whatever-Thon prizes, send some to obviously afflicted participants, and then overdose on anything that's left!
Sadly, Dennis, they have not bean available for 30 or 40 years now.  There was a bloke in South Australia who wanted to grow them, so that might be a possibility.

lol, how about giving him his full place of birth to avoid causing bilious attacks in this country?  Ontario is a big place.  laugh

Thanks Danielle!  I gave it a try, but I didn't get a match between his birth record and the location suggestion thingy.  Profuse apologies in advance if I have triggered any of our northern neighbours while attempting to avoid triggering them!
lol, that location suggestion thingy is for the birds in my book.  Comes from FamilySearch, and they have odd ways of entereing place names, mostly run-on together of parish and town, all hyphenated together.  I never use it.  What does the birth record actually say?
It says Wolford, Leeds and Grenville, which is actually on the image so I suppose I should trust it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merrickville%E2%80%93Wolford  laugh

so it probably should read Wolford township as place of birth, since he is born before amalgamation of Merrickville and Wolford.

Thanks Danielle!

nice, added the relevant category for him.  laugh

Perhaps he had lessons from his uncle George T. Fulford, who owned the rights to Dr. William's Pink Pills for Pale People.

Lessons in alliteration? laugh  I'm sure you're correct Christine.  Wkipedia says Charles originally went to Australia as a salesman for his uncle.

That makes me thankful for medical progress!

Charles' father was John Fulford, whose brother was George Taylor Fulford, who had Fulford Place (now Fulford Museum) built by an American architect, Albert Fuller.

Dr. William's Pink Pills actually had merit, as one of the ingredients was iron. Many people suffered from anemia, and the iron supplements greatly improved their health.

He was following in his uncle George Fulford's footsteps. I believe his company manufactured Pink Pills For Pale People. Those Canadian Fulfords were up to all kinds of interesting things. Bishops, Bile Beans. Pink Pills...

Now I see the prior comments. Oops. Good stuff

In addition to his biliousness, we have Fulford from Wolford.

Wolford township, if you please Cindy!  laugh

I plan to remain Fulford from Sacramento. Less alliterative but also less silly
