I am trying to add a new gedcom with new profiles why doesnt it show up in my watchlist

You mean another one, after the one from a couple days ago? When you upload a second gedcom it gets caught waiting for our admin Tami Glatz to approve it. It's a common mistake to upload a gedcom twice and it's important to avoid creating a bunch of duplicates, so we require a personal review in these cases. Contact Tami at info@ for an update.

Harry, you will need to merge at least one profile from your WikiTree profiles with a profile in your GEDCOM. The below link gives a lot of information on GEDCOMS including the quote listed below it.

"We do not automatically merge any GEDCOM-created profiles with your account profile because not every GEDCOM starts with the person who imports it. Many people import a GEDCOM that starts with an ancestor, or their spouse.

Merging is simple. Find the GEDCOM-created profile for you on the report page or in your Watchlist and use this form to merge it into your account profile.

Good answer, Debby! Though even before merging, the profiles should already show up in the Watchlist, just not the Tree. Harry, is that what you meant, or are we misunderstanding the problem you're having?

Thanks, Lianne. I didn't know if an unmerged GEDCOM would show up in the Watchlist or not (now I do, thanks to you ), but I hoped something in the FAQ might solve Harry's dilemma.
