Please explain in more detail what you are talking about.
I didn't understand that yourDNAportal.com was a completely different company from MyHeritage and GEDMatch.  I put my GEDmatch ID in,but I still need to add myDNA portal profile ID as I just got that.
Just enter it the same way.
where do I look to find out what a DNA portal is?
Google it.

@Susan  see https://www.yourdnaportal.com/   it is one more site where you can take the testing you did and match it with other people.

Ah, thank Robin L., that was a helpful answer, it was informative and bless you for it ..
Ignorance is bliss, presumably!  Until I saw this thread, I had not heard of the web site yourdnaportal.com.  Now I have looked at it, and it's still not obvious what function this site performs that I might find beneficial, what niche it claims to fill, or what advantage would accrue that someone can't obtain elsewhere.  I didn't see an explicit statement saying it would match my results with those of other test takers, and I didn't see any data indicating how many users or data uploads they have.  My initial reaction is 'no sale' but I wonder if someone here is familiar with the site and understands why WikiTree apparently hooked up with it?  I suppose I could start a new thread on this if that would be appropriate, but is it worth the effort?

laugh Quite so, Dennis, you have expressed myself well. Thank you.

This should explain what is "different" about this site...

Special relationship with WikiTree.

Thanks Robin.  I must have been asleep when all that was going on.  But nevertheless, Chris is just describing the mechanics of getting yourself and your data linked with the two sites, and I'm still not understanding why I should care.  Is that site primarily for British users?
It was certainly started in Britain, but, as most of my ancestry is British Isles, I decided it might be a way to connect with some "family" that is not drawn to the other sites that are US based.
Have you found it to be effective?  Do they notify you of matches they find?

I didn't understand that yourDNAportal was a separate web site.
