I am looking for father of John G. Twitty (b. 1822, KY).

Question

John G. Twitty, born 1822, KY, died in Missouri. One of his son's was Thomas Jefferson Twitty, my great grandfather. T. J. Twitty's son was Arthur Twitty, born in Missouri, 1880. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My cousin and I have looked for many years for the link.

Wow Vera... you (and others) really have been looking hard for his father. On my first google search I got back 3 pages of "...trying to find the parents of John G. Twitty b. 1822..." I'm a novice but I'll look for awhile. There are some extremely talented and knowledgeable people here that will hopefully help you figure it out. Good luck!

I found this post from 2006 that has a couple hints you might not have...

"I am researching the Twitty's of Kentucky and Missouri. They seem to have 
left the KY Barren County area about 1810. Our John G. Twitty born in KY 1822 
and his brother Archibald Twitty born in KY. The Twitty's seemed to navigate 
back and forth to KY and MO. In Missouri their residence was in the New 
Madrid, Scott and Mississippi County areas. I am particularly interested in 
finding the parents of our John G. Twitty 1822. I would appreciate any replies."

I find this in which John R. Twitty marries Elizabeth Wilken yet doesn't have a child named John G. Twitty. The closest is John W. Twitty
