New Sweden immigrants

My husband is a descendant of New Sweden immigrants.  His branch split over the Revolution. His ancestor Isaac Justason/Gustafson joined the British, had his property attainted and sold out from under him, and moved to New Brunswick, Canada.  I’m about to connect his branch to earlier profiles that are in Wikitree.  I’m not interested in joining the  New Sweden project, but just wanted to double-check in case there’s anyone I should be in touch with first.

Justason might not be Gustafsson in Swedish, phonetically it would correspond to Göstasson instead of Gustafsson. And I do not see the letter F (as in GustaFson) on the envelope image on the profile either.

When adding the New Sweden settlers you should coordinate with the New Sweden project. Hopefully they will see your question and get back to you.

Hi Kathie, thanks for posting. What do you know about Isaac Gustafsson’s father? I will help you source them if you need it.

Your husband and I are cousins through the Keens.

Isaac’s parents were Gustaf Gustafson b.1696 (also Justus/Justis) and Annika Keen b. 170?.  As parents they are well documented, but  I’m not confident about their parents.  The Descendants of Joran Kyn doesn’t list Annika.  Gustaf’s parents may be Nils and Catharina Gustafson.  This is not an area I’m familiar with,so appreciate any help.
