If you mean the short story by  Edgar Allen Poe, then I think it is just someone with the same name.

See Wikipedia's article, "The Fall of the House of Usher-Short Story by Edgar Allan Poe". First published in 1830, this "masterpiece of Gothic literature" was probably inspired by many different sources, and one of them may very likely be the House of Hezekiah Usher Jr in Boston.Built in 1684, it was the site of much tragedy to this prominent family.
