Ancestor Listmaker - Enhanced Category Text and Location Text filtering

I just uploaded a new version of Ancestor Listmaker that has enhanced Category Text and Location Text filtering capabilities and also improvements for "Descendants" with parents or grandparents that have private profiles. The link is still at: https://apps.wikitree.com/apps/ashley1950/index.html

  • Category Text enhancements - Previously you could filter for profiles in a category that contained a specified search term and (by preceding a search term with a !) that did not contain a different specified search term - e.g. entering War,!Civil War would generate all ancestors in a category whose name includes War but not Civil War.  You can now also filter for profiles in a category that contains two different search terms by preceding the second term with a plus sign - e.g. entering Texas,+Cemetery will generate a list of all ancestors in a category whose name includes both Texas and Cemetery.
  • Location Text enhancement - Previously this filter searched both the Birth Location and Death Location fields and there was no way to search those fields separately. For example, entering France would generate a list of all ancestors with France in either the Birth Location of Death Location field. You can now limit the search terms to either the Birth Location or Death Location field by preceding the search terms by B: or D:  You can also do combined separate searches of the Birth Location and Death Location fields. For example, entering B:Germany,D:England,!New England will find ancestors with Germany in their Birth Location field and England (but not New England) in their Death Location field.
  • Private parents or grandparents - Previously, if the "Descendant" had parents or grandparents whose profiles were private, certain types of lists (Category Text, Five-Star Profiles, Gedcom Junk, and Unsourced) would not include any ancestors of those private parents or grandparents. I have now added a workaround so that those ancestors are now included in the lists. The parents or grandparents with the private profiles will, however, continue to not be listed.

Cool thing about this is doing the ancestors who may have immigrated to America. I found a bunch who I know didn't immigrate but had no birth location. Fixing that now. Thanks, Chase.
