Categorization Regional/Geographical UK

Would there be any benefit in including a geographical category for the UK or  maybe Ireland and UK or Great Britain and Ireland, or Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England, whatever title needs to be as inclusive as possible :)

An example of a benefit might be that I know men from the Coleford in the Forest of Dean - England, emigrated to Iowa. Being able to add this as a field for searching could be useful.

Not offering to initiate as clueless on how, but would be happy to support and do data entry

Hi Wendy,

There are regional categories for the UK. :) Currently they cannot be used in any of the search tools, but that could change in the future. In the meantime they're still handy for organising your profiles and seeing other people who've been added to WikiTree and might be connected to your ancestors!

I've filled in all the counties for England already. Scotland still needs to be done, and I thought I'd start a conversation about language before doing Wales, since I'm not sure if they should be in English or Welsh.

See http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Using_Categories if you aren't familiar with categories, and let me know if you have any more questions!
