You are welcome, Ellen.  I try to post whenever free searches are available and that is when I dig in and find many treasures.

It was sad when I found my 2x great grand uncle, a Union soldier, who was captured and went through Cabaha Prison in Alabama then marched to Andersonville, where he died and is buried.

I have found Revolutionary War ancestors who fared better so hope to find more this time.

Just found the pension record of Sgt John Tilton, with what is apparently a lengthy hand-written account of his service.
