Hi Beverley.  I just received (this morning) Walter James birth certificate.  Walter is our grandfather but we never met him (I have 9 brothers and sisters).  I also sent away to births, deaths and marriages for his death certificate but they sent me details of another Walter James Cox (different mother and father).  The family know nothing about the life of Walter as my father (Alfred Walter Francis Cox) was placed in a boys home in Wellington and didn't grow up with his parents.

James George Coleridge Cox is my great grandfather. He was married to Ann Nicholls (great grandmother). Walter James Cox (married to Jessie Winter) was my grandfather and Alfred Walter Francis Cox is my father.  Alfred Walter and Linda Mary Colquhoun Marr had 10 children and I am fourth from bottom. Perhaps one of James brothers or sisters was directly linked to you.

In my Ancestry, through new DNA, I have been working on a new tree, and my tree has Walter James Cox, son of James GC Cox being born 1Dec 1880, in Castlepoint NZ, and death 16January 1960, Timaru NZ

More information James George Cox was married to Susan Louisa Scarth and their son was James George Coleridge Cox born 1852 in Wellington and died 14.5.1918 in Paihiatua. Then came James George Coleridge Cox 28.5.1852 - 4.5.1918 and then Walter James Cox was born 1.12.1880 in Tinui, Wellington, and died 16.1.60 in Timaru. Walter was one of 15 siblings.  I have birth and death information for all 15 siblings.
