Texas, Kelly, Musick, DOD?

+4 votes

I chased down his daughter yesterday I think it was but lacked her parents at that time, and then located some clues and tracked him and his wife Laura Fairlee (Musick) Kelly (abt.1876-) | WikiTree FREE Family Tree ...

My interest is that on my mother's side (Howell) there are Tinsley and that family intersects with my father's side as a sideline sort of although it's not much of an intersection

I'd like to know, of course, DOD and place of both Henry and Laura; but I'd really like to find out the antecedents of Henry Tinsley, to see if he's a relative on my mother's side

I did use - and will use again - the RootsSearch WikiTree Integration vehicle (love it, so easy to use) and a straight forward search at www.familysearch.org, but have not found the search parameters which will produce the results I want

Did not find either of them, Laura or Henry, at FaG in Texas although I found out there's something like 700+ MUSICK buried in Texas listed on FaG which made my eyes pop open -- I had expected no more than 50 or so -- There's 600+ MUSICK in the WikiTree Index which was also a surprise ... the MUSICK have a presence in Texas and at WikiTree

THANK YOU Patricia and David !!

Using those clues and facts I found I do believe Laura's parents in Cherokee Co, TX, 1880 .. on her FaG memorial, connected to Henry's FaG memorial, it says in text that her father was R. P. Musick.
Figured Robert, RIchard, Randal ...um. He was born in Louisiana according to the census for Laura ... and experience tells me we will include Ransom, popular name in Mississippi and Louisiana ... and there he is, the family, in Cherokee Co, TX, Ransom and Henrietta Music (no 'k')

"United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MFFY-N6J : 15 July 2017), Laura Music in household of Ransom Music, Precinct 3, Cherokee, Texas, United States; citing enumeration district ED 14, sheet 354D, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), FHL microfilm 1,255,295.

Clicked on HIS name, and it's Ransom Pinkney Musick 1852-1925; wife is Henrietta Lenora AVERY, 1856-1934

Oh, there's a lot of profiles to be done, parents and siblings of both Henry and of Laura

Yes, well never let it be said I'm confused at times, Henry KELLY not Henry TINSLEY .... however, I was going to have to investigate Henry Kelly and Spouse Laura Musick ANYWAY ... and was handed by PM here a bonanza of information ...

Now I will go work on Wiliam Alvis "Jack" Tinsley and HIS antecedents - father John Thomas Tinsley and mother Mary Irene Shelton ... last I looked today neither William nor his father were indexed at WT nor was William's mother ...

Get all that together for more profiles to create

Hi Susan, one thing I may point out is that Henry Kelley's tombstone and findagrave link show his name spelled as Kelley (not Kelly).  Perhaps that's why you couldn't find it. Good luck in your searching!
