Alan Calvert- link to Darel Hargis-1072

I've only been a member of WikiTree for a very short period of time. But your accumulation of genealogical information has been extremely helpful to my interest in following my ancestry as far back as possible. Since becoming a WikiTree member and spending many, many, many hours typing in names in the search bar, following leads, clicking on names, viewing the family history has been something I've been interested in for 12-15 yrs. That's probably nothing as it compares to the administrators of WikiTree genealogy interests though!

For the past few weeks I've traced what I believe to be my 9th great grandfather Alan Calvert-30 (b. 1456). Following the genealogy up to John Hargis V-483 (b. 1762) which according to Legacy (the genealogy program I've been using since I began tracing my family tree) is my half 5th cousin twice removed. But, trying to visually trace my personal linkage via the "descendants" print out I'm unable to follow anything further from any of his children with Jane Pyron-94 (b. 1760). Would someone with greater experience and expertise be able to provide some guidance, some direction as to where I've missed something or not followed through to see who the ancestor was who links to me?

Alan Calvert-30

Walter Calvert-29

William Calvert-28

{Am I missing Calvert-27?}

Leonard Calvert-26

John Calvert-182

Thomas Calvert-179

Mary Sarah (Calvert) Whiteside-3203

Ann Elizabeth (Whiteside-165) Hargis

John Draper Hargis III-99

John Draper Hargis IV-98

John Hargis V-483

This is where I've lost the linkage I first discovered using WikiTree!

Thank you WikiTree team,

Darel Hargis-1072

Using the Relationship Finder tool, I plugged in both Calvert-30 (Alan) and Hargis-1072 (Darel). No relationship found, which means you are mistaken about the connection. See:

At least that explains why you had difficulty trying to trace it generation by generation. The Relationship Finder tool is at the bottom of the family tree view of each person.
