Phebey Ferguson Death Record

My great-great-grandmother was Annie Ferguson, born about 1850 died in 1894 in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland

I have no information on Phebey's husband or her maiden name.

Family stories claim Phebey was from England and that they were horse breeders. But on her death record, it says she was the widow of a shopkeeper.

I've looked through all records for a Phebe/Phebey/Phoebe Ferguson who might have had a child named Ann/Annie and followed through the daughters life (marriage/death)

Annie doesn't have a marriage record (either she didn't officially get married while they were raising their family in Ireland, or the record was lost). I was hoping I could find her fathers information from it, but no luck.

Any other suggestions on how I can track down Phebey's information?

Where was Annie born? Can you find a baptism or a birth registration for her?

If the family lived in England, have you found them on any census?

Besides the info for her mother, I have nothing for Annie prior to her first child being born .

I've spent countless hours going through census docs for all Annie Ferguson's in the 1850 birth range and there hasn't been anything yet.

It's a real puzzle.

I've ordered her death cert but I don't expect it will arrive anytime soon. It's coming to Canada by post...not sure why they can't send a digital copy, but oh well.

I'm the meantime I keep hoping I'll stumble onto a new clue.
If you can't find any records to support it, maybe Phoebe wasn't from England after all. Ferguson is an Irish or Scottish surname I think. Or perhaps her husband was in the military and the family were not in the UK when the censuses were taken there.

Re: Annie and Frederick not marrying, it could be because Frederick's first wife was still alive. Inconvenient as Annie's father's name should have been on the certificate...
