I need to merge two profiles, and am being told there is an error.

Question

I am trying to merge Soffen-2 into Soffen-1.  I'm suspecting that Soffen-1 is not a full member, but she also has been trying to merge the two profiles.  She is on vacation currently, and I would really like to have our families connected when she returns Saturday.  Soffen-2 is the same person as Soffen-1.  Soffen-2 is unlisted as she is alive.   I am Flintoft-4 and created Soffen-2 (Cynthia May Soffen).  Cynthia Soffen is Soffen-1.

Unless you are a profile manager for both profiles, you will not be able to complete the merge without the PM of the other profile giving their approval.

It says it has been approved.  Can someone just merge the two profiles  I am so frustrated at this point I am tempted to just ignore the fact that there are two profiles for one person. I adore  WikiTree because it’s a collaborative tree, but sometimes it drives me nuts.

The profiles represent a living person? And you are the profile manager for one of the profiles? If so it must have something to do with that if the merge is approved. Suggest you edit your question and add the tag 'tech' to it.

T, I don't think tech is an accepted tag. I don't think the system allows us to use it. Unless something changed recently.

According to this guideline, the merge can only be completed by a Wikitree team member because of the privacy settings. Email the team at info@wikitree.org and ask them to complete the merge.
