where would I be able to research land related questions .  I thought if I would be able to see when family took over a piece of land might give me the year that my great grandfather passed away since I cant find dob or date of his passing.  momax Zacatecas mexico  between 1930-?  I know in 1938 he had passed according to his sons death record … for Roman Magallanes Magallanes-42

I don't know exactly, but I would try it in the Instituto de Información e Investigación Geográfica, Estadística y Catastral del Estado de México to get information about the responsible municipality.

As I know every municipality in Mexico has an land registry office. And they must have records about the pieces of land in their municipality.
