Unexplainable Relationship Finder results

Question

I get four different relationships when I compare my family tree with William the Conqueror Normandie-32 with the RF.  Both my paternal GM, Coe-2227 and paternal GF, Barbour-1017 are related to English royalty. They are 8th cousins.

RF shows my GM (Coe-2227) is 23rd GGDaughter to Wm.  I, (Kellogg-1557) am 2c27x through my GM.

My GF (Barbour-1017) is 28GGSon (unc) to Wm.  My father (Kellogg-1694) is a 27 GGNephew through my GF.

Why aren't my father and I GGSons?  Explainable?

To answer a question: 31generations between Wm and me; also my father.

Yes.....and no......Relationship Finder......had to think on that one for a bit.

I guess that I am the only one using Relationship Finder (RF) as  my  most frequent WikiTree tool.  Presidential cousins change relationships daily.

George......it took a little thought, on my part......then it came to me.......you are over the 30 degree RF limit......am I correct?  Jack

Interesting: We are related through the above paternal GF and GM.  GM: we share Wm Waldegrave; GF: Wm Sandys.
