Miss Charlotte Lucretia Crane daughter of Henry James Crane (1833 - 1901) and Caroline “Carrie” E. (Pierce) Crane (1842 - 1916). She was born June 21, 1885 in Alton, Illinois. She lived in Illinois most of her life a graduate of Alton High school and also attended Washington University in St. Louis. Charlotte was the former part owner of the Green-Crane Photography Studio with Miss Natalie Green and also a photographer for Wiseman Photography Studio in Alton. Miss Crane Served in France during WWI for the Salvation Army and was a member of the Women’s Overseas Service League. She also served in the Volunteer Motor Corp Service of the American Red Cross during WWII.
