Need Category for 12th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force

Question

I'm doing a large project on one community in the year 1901, and I've been adding profiles for quite a few people who served in the military in WWI.  I have finally come across one which served with a unit that currently does not have a Wikitree Category.  It is the 12th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.

I'm hesitant to create the category myself as wartime military categories are usually managed by a project.  Is there someone involved with the Great War project who could assist or give me some guidance?

Proper idenification is 12th Canadian Infantry Battalion CEF.  This unit was perpetuation by the The York Regiment (presentday The Carleton and York Regimwnt and The Royal Rifles of Canada (now on Supplementary Reserve Status).
