You mean Rangers?

Pretty sure that yes, they do have to hold down the fort.

And I did my 2 hours of Ranger duty on Sunday (19th) like I always do - even though I am also leading a team in a connect-a-thon!!

There was NO weekend chat because of the connect-a-thon.

I also had my shift Friday during the 'thon. :)

Our schedule continues on as usual!
Good to hear from you Robynne and Katie......being a newbie and noticing all the commotion leading up to the weekend, thought I'd stay out of the way, however, when I looked in, the door was open, with hardly anybody around......glad the fort was being minded.......thankyou.    Jack

smiley what I miss most is the week end chat -- Homefront: weather was hot, brownies were delicious, the brownie pan worked as advertised, spaghetti was good, Genealogically: I have so far this month, tied the lines (branches) I was profiling to profiles (lines) others had already created more than a half dozen times, and expanded my watch list somewhat with more relatives and in G2G added some answers which may prove helpful and learned "disclude" (a never before seen word) and "subclade" (which I still don't understand)

There, done my bit for the AWOL "Weekend Chat" ... missing,  and missed very very much by me.

Is the weekend chat starting up, or, is most of it still stuck on the freeway?
Today is Monday. It is no longer the weekend. You will have to wait until next weekend!!

Everytime there is a Thon - the weekend chat does get skipped for that weekend. So it happenes once every 3 months.
Now I found out what I really wanted to know...... the Thon is quarterly, not yearly.....thankyou.  Jack

Not quite, John. There is a 'Thon every three months, but it's not the same one.

This one was the second ever Connect-a-Thon.  Then there is the Source-a-Thon, the Scan-a-Thon, and the Clean-a-Thon. (I may be missing one that switches with one of those I named.)

Melanie, I think there was some discussion about alternating something with the Scan-a-Thon, but it hasn't been done yet. And, like you, I don't remember what it was.

Thanks, Lucy!  I knew it was one of them.  smiley

Even more to learn......Thank you all !!    Jack
