The man standing on the right end of the back row is a friend of the family of James Ross Bird, seated in front of him. If I ever find the time, I will see if the friend's name is specified on the photo.

My Grandfather, Harold "Hal" Knott Rammel (1892-1930), really enjoyed all kinds of animals ... he believed them to be very loyal "Friends".

Below is a photo of him when the circus came to Escanaba, Delta, Michigan ... it gave him the opportunity to explore new friendships?

In the front row at A Day at the Races 1932

Friends and family of Johnny Raymer  at the Trabrennbahn Krieau in Vienna, Austria for the Österreichisches Traber-Derby 1932. Johhny was crowned the 1932 Austrian racing champion.

This is a photo taken about  1905 of my grandmother Pearl McCleery, lower right, and her three best friends. It is in her Illinois scrapbook. It is not the scrapbook they are looking at, so this must be her friend's scrapbook. I know that the two friends in back are sisters, and both of them on the right are named Pearl.

I love this photo, Alexis.  All four women are so beautifully dressed and coiffed.  They almost look like quads, with their matching "spectacles". Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you Robin. Last year Week 16 Friendship, I shared a similar photo of the four of them, but this is my favorite of the two photos.

My maternal grandmother Herta Martha Auguste Grabow with her best friend - a long-haired dachshund. After her husband was killed-in-action in 1944 she always had a long-haired dachshund until her death in 1984.

It may be that the photo you're sharing is from a site that requires a password.  If you're logged in you can see it but no one else can.  Where is the photo; can you pust the URL?

I inherited many pictures of my grandfather, Lincoln, and his best friend, Leslie from the time they were small boys to teenager-hood.  I believe Leslie was the friend that lost an ear sledding down a hill when he didn't duck low enough for the barbed wire, needless to say Grandpa had lots of stories about him.

To whom it may concern, My wife Kathleen Thompson-11921 has now, succeeded in uploading pictures and documents to various profiles.......the profile Linke-200 that she manages, for cousin Frank Jr., would like to upload a photo to "52_Photos"...... so far we've read instructions and both tried but not succeeded, yet, ......all help appreciated.    Jack

My Mom and her two best friends.  They have remained best friends all these years until the death of one friend a few years ago.  My Mom and her other friend are still very close to this day.

I had never heard of Woolrich Arsenal, so looked it up. Oh my! What did Aunt Mary do there, do you know?

Many women in London volunteered to work at Woolwich Arsenal during WWI It was their war effort, making ammunition for the troops, I think a lot of the work was filling shells, but they did various jobs; they mostly worked in an assembly line like any factory. It freed up the men to join the armed forces.

The first photo was taken in the cottaging area of Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada at The Bluffs. In the photo are my mother Barb, her two sisters Nancy and Cathy and my uncle Bob along with a few summer time friends.

The second photo is of my great-grandfather, Alexander (Alec) and his best friend, Redman of Crowfields Kennels (Red). I'm not 100% sure of the date of the photo.

52 Photos Week 30: Friends

For some reason the color is not the best in this picture, but what is - is the friends.

I am on the left side of the bench, Cathy is in red and Paula is in the turquoise jacket.  This was taken in 2014, just prior to our 45th class reunion.

At this time we had been friends for 57 years. Can that be possible? Well, we met when we were 6 years old, and have been best friends ever since. Even though Cathy moved away from us, we still communicate with each other almost every day, and when we get together, it is like we have never been apart.

Paula and Cathy are really my life-long friends.

These are friends of my Grandfather, Albert J Whittingham, from WWII. I find it funny, because they are in their Navy uniforms while sitting on horses (on land).
