I'm trying to make a very visible warning on a profile about the girl's parentage, the father being unknown.  There are rumours floating around identifying him, and some authors have made her father be her mother's husband, but the baptism is quite clear, her father is not known.

Is there a way to make text show up in red in bio section?  I want to have it jump in people's face so they don't go adding a father for her.

You may want to use bold text, too.

Thanks Lindy, that's what I needed.  Except that it doesn't appear to be working.  sad

Correction:  It works but one cannot do bold inside it.

Bold ''' on the outside.

.

EDIT TO ADD --  I have used it thusly : '''{{Red|WARNING}}'''
ah, thanks Melanie, didn't know you could do that with templates.

There is a way to do as you ask, but it is not recommended. It's okay on your own page and perhaps on a free space, but not for a regular profile. However, you can perhaps use this template:

{{Uncertain Family}}

Then, above the ==Biography== heading, put a note explaining the situation as in your question. This puts a bright yellow warning banner at the top of the page.

uncertain family doesn't apply, the mother is known, the father is not.  Some authors have ascribed Médard Chouart Desgroseillers (famous explorer) as the father, not sure what that is based on as I haven't found anything to back up the statement.
