Was White Thunder Cheyenne or Lakota?

I'm reviewing profiles of Native Americans that have inaccurate names in the LNAB field.  WikiTree's Native Americans project uses WikiTree's LNAB field to record the tribe/nation name of Native American individuals who did not use surnames. In order to determine what to place there, I need to know the tribe/nation with whom White Thunder was associated.  Same with his wife and daughter.

Some web sources indicate Cheyenne; others Lakota.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Looks like he was Lakota.  He participated in delegations of Lakota and died at Rosebud, a Lakota reservation.

I'll try to track down a better source than an Internet posting - there is a book source, but have to wait for libraries to reopen to see it.
