Tracing Prussian/German ancestors of German Immigrants to South Africa 1858

Question

Trying to trace the antecedents of 2 families of immigrants to British Kaffraria - Eastern Cape - South Africa In 1858.

They came on the ship The Wandrahm which left Hamburg on 31/8/1858 and docked in East London South Africa 6 Dec 1858

1) Michael August Schmidt  Born March or April 1828 in Lessen and his wife;

Rosalie Schmidt (née Weiland) born 1823?  Married 1850 - 1855 possibly in Lessen and their 2 sons:

Alexander Robert Schmidt born 1856 Lessen - Prussia

Emil Johannes Schmidt born Lessen 27/12/1857.

The next family, the Knickelbeins sailed on the ship Peter Goddefroy departed Hamburg 30/9/1858 arrived East London 19/1/1859.

2) Johann Joachim Friederich Knickelbein born 1820 in Hellte Mecklenburg Strelitz - his wife;

Christiane Friederike Knickelbein (née ?? ) born 1821 and their children born in Zernikow.

Wilhelm born 1851

Wilhelmine 1853

Carl 1855

For the marriage at Brunn on 29 Sep 1847 of Johann Joachim Friedrich Knickelbein, son of Carl Knickelbein of Helpt, to Wilhelmine Friedericke Christiane Knickelbein, daughter of Friedrich Knickelbein of Brunn, see this image at ancestry.com. (yup, her maiden name was Knickelbein as well)
