Hunt your Hunnish ancestors! [closed]

Apart from two dead links, this profile is based on only three sources: Gibbon in an 1845 edition, Chadwick in 1912, and the current Wikipedia. All by and large good material, I believe, but nobody seems to have used them to write him a biography. I struggle to understand why his current last name is “the Hun” but he was born “theHun”, and where his alleged places of birth and death are meant to be. But, more to the point, is there proof that he has verified descendants, or are we in the warm fuzzy creative zone?
