Policy & Style: Is there a 'Policy' place that might describe, encouraged or required the practice of using the 'name of a location' as it was when the person was born or died. One example being used is Massachusetts Bay Colony [ Settlement to 14 May 1692] then changes to Province of Massachusetts Bay. [ 14 May 1692 to 4 Jul 1776].
