Why is Jame E. Linn used as my great grandfather? Which is false.

Patti, I replied to your comment on James's profile. WikiTree requires that I have your email address to add you to the  Trusted List or designate you as a manager on the profile. My intention in fact was to remove myself once you were added and to leave the profile to your care since I am not related to James.

It looks like someone made a mistake, in the middle initial and year of birth.  Easily corrected.  From the comments on the profile, the profile manager has offered to add you to the Trusted List as a manager.  You should have no trouble working with her to make an accurate profile.

If James E Lynn is attached in error, simply go to William’s profile, in edit down the right side you will see father listed. Underneath is edit/remove father, click and follow prompts. Don’t forget to say why you removed him.

Then you can make or attach the correct father.

It might be worth messaging the PM of James E to see why she thought they were a match. You might be able to help each other.
