How would I find out if my Great Grandfather, Judge John Malloy attended Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland?

Question

As the family lore has it that Judge John Malloy-136 was a graduate or matriculated in 1860-70's?  Also, whomever paid for his Tuition might be the clue to his parenthood?

If John also became a judge in Ireland then he would be listed in the judicial archives in the National Archives of Ireland.
