Advice before editing this pre-1700 Petterson profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of William Petterson. This is what I can add:

  • Date of marriage; name of wife; occupation;  Place of birth; and place of residence (in 1755)

These are the sources I am using:

  • All of my information before c1870 is from the National Records of Scotland; all of my ancestors back to c1600 were Scottish.
  • I wasn't really asking a question : I completed the pre-1700 quiz, but the system still did not let me continue.  I am really quite experienced in research, having completed research on my ancestors back to where records of ordinary people run out (c1600), and am essentially transferring information from my spreadsheet system to WikiTree.
  • How can I now proceed with my own project, as there seems to be no other matching project?

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!
