What medals are these?

This picture is of an ancestor who supposedly lived from 1796 (South Carolina) and died in 1854 (Alabama.)  Assuming the owner of the photograph hasn't misidentified the individual or generation, what war or organization might these awards have been for?  They have a very foreign look if pertaining to a war, but it could be some kind of fraternal organization, I suppose.  Robyn

I didn't see that the link went through:

This image is privacy protected. Only the thumbnail is open.

Where can I put the picture so it can be viewed by everyone....I simply snipped off the medals from the man's photo and uploaded it to my own profile.  I tried pasting it into my first text above, but I kept getting an error message.  I don't want to post it to the individual until I'm sure this is who he is.  He is not my relative, but one of a friend.

Any open profile or space page would work (I think green lock might be enough).

If you have the WT url for the image, you can send it to me via private message and I can see what I can do.

I duped it to my grandfather's profile and will remove the entire thing if anyone comes up with an answer.  Then I can put it (the entire man's picture) on his own site.  See if you can see this now....

It is viewable there, thanks.  (I have no suggestions for what they are, though. Sorry.)

Thanks for looking.  smiley Maybe he was involved in Masonic activities.  I think they used Maltese Crosses..

Looks like Masonic Crosses

I think that the 1st medal from left is the Norwegian Knight cross of the Order of Saint Olav.

You know.....I went to Google images and you may be right.  What's weird though, is this fellow's grandfather and father were supposedly born in America.. What would this guy be doing in the 1800's where he would even remotely be qualified for this award.....assuming he really is "from South Carolina?"

He is not one of the sons of (Jacob) Adam Ellisor, jr on WT....only his brother Chaney/Cheney is listed, but here he is on FGrave....https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/46088356/jacob-adam-ellisor
