Thank you Betty!  I've been looking for the death of Robert born 5 Oct 1928!  His birth in Iowa says 5 Oct 1929.  I made a profile for him because the birth info differs so much from the subject, it might be someone different.  If so, there's plenty of info to distinguish him clearly from Robert's father.  Otherwise, merge away!

He certainly did not leave much of a paper trail.  He and his parents are not on the 1930 or 1940 Census that I could find.  He might have enlisted in the Army in 1946.  Paschal-354 does have a Montana connection, so he might be the missing man.  His mother was married to a man named Wilder in Montana from about 1931 until 1954.  Unfortunately the 1940 Census missed them.

The 1961 marriage is wrong. He was still married to my mother at that time. They were married in 1975 (I have the original cert.)

From what I could find, this person was born in Dec of 1918.
I also doubt that the spelling would have changed that much with the same family or person.

It’s not that the family might have changed the spelling (if everything else is correct) but the person writing/transcribing the record heard or saw it differently. Members of my family can be found under Pool, Paul,Paull, Poul and Poole, just to make life difficult.

I'm not sure what you mean by spelling changes  Thaddeus Guy and Eugenia Sophia appear to be the same people?

The spelling of the last name has 2 "l"s. Ours has only one. So for that Robert to be the same person he would have had to have changed it.
But I know it's not the same person since the middle name is wrong. Thanks.
