Is this the Robert Balfour of Balfour, Guthrie & Co., San Francisco, fame?

Robert Balfour came to California about the time the Transcontinential Railroad was completed.  Circa 1868-1875 era.   He and his friend, Guthrie, established the Balfour Guthrie  & Co in San Francisco.  Expaned operations to  Oregon and Washington.  also to  Peru.  large landholders in CA.  Bought the Marsh Rancho in eastern Contra Costa county - 14,000 acres approx later known as Brentwood Irrigated farms.
