I have an ancestor with two identities. He fled England in 1814 and ended up in Baltimore with a new name and new family. How to show him in the wikitree. Add the information in the present ID (of which I am not the manager) or make a new ID for the pseudoynm?

Well, you don't create a new profile.  That would go against the policy of one profile per person.

What you can do is enter the name he used last (Clifton) as his Current Last Name, and the Arthur as his Preferred Name.  It may look strange on the display, but that retains all the original information (which is important), while also showing the newer information.
