Returning to Unmerged Match and asking research help

I proposed an unmerged match between Pollack-398 and Pollack-437 on 30 Aug 2019.  S J Baty's question about General Arthur St. Clair inspired me to return to Martha Pollack, concerning the father of her son Samuel Robb (a possible cousin). Samuel married Louisa St. Clair, the General's daughter.  The father is thought to be James Robb Robb-1790 but this is not proven.

The two profiles of Martha don't have verified information on the places of her birth and death.  Pollack-437 has Westmoreland County and I proposed Chester County for Pollack-398 only because that's where the Robb family came from.

Samuel Robb's profile Robb-1932 has a newspaper article attached that references a biography by John Meginness of General Arthur St. Clair's family.  The same John Meginness wrote "Otzinachson: A History of the West Branch Valley" (1857) and "The Life and Times of Robert Robb, Esq." Robert Robb was a brother of James Robb, Samuel's presumed father.

Can anyone help to find sources for a possible connection between the two profiles of Martha Pollack?

I'll need to dig up my notes, but somewhere I read that James Robb's son was adopted by his brother.  I will look for more.

My notes come from a family scrapbook, owned at one time by my maternal grandmother, whose mother was Effie Viola Robb married to a  Gavin Jamieson.

I have lots of info on the Robb/Raub/Raup family.

I have hit a wall with Martha and James being Samuel's parents. I can not find any piece of documentation to tie them together. I have been to the courthouse in Greensburg PA, that includes Ligonier, searching records and have come up with a land survey for a James Robb. I have their find a graves off of ancestry and articles about James Robb but does not mention Samuel. Samuel would be my 4th great grandfather. Any information would be appreciated.
