I have several surnames where the spelling used by some genealogists is differs, e.g. Speer and Spear.  Is there a way to find matches?

Hi Vic,

Right now we don't have any "Soundex"-type system in place for automatic searching and matching. It's on the to-do list. For now, I'm afraid you'll just need to do it manually.

I have found a work-around.  I open two browsers with Wiki-Tree and put one spelling of the surname on each one, arranged alphabetically.  Then I can search down the lists.  If I find a match, I can either open a 3rd browser and propose the match right then or write the numbers down and propose the match later.  It is cumbersome, but it works.

Kudos on figuring out another way to skin that cat, Vic!
This would be easier if one could 'copy' the WikiTree id from the watch list.
