Heb info dat zij uit de regio Essen (D) kwamen en Glazenmakers waren. Komen via Dordrecht, waar zij lid waren van het Glaesenmackers gilde, rond 1580 in Rotterdam aan.

ik schrijf en Engels, dat is makkelijker for mij.

I googled a bit and found an entry in a german forum. There also someone asked for the name Eckelborg. That one also had the town Essen. Someone who answered the question *thinks* that it could be this Essen, because it obviously was on the road leading to Amsterdam. Unfortunately the name seems to be extinguished in Germany, there are no entries in the phone books anymore where you could see if the name clusters in a region.
