You might try looking at Hoy Genealogy which lists all Hoy profiles on WikiTree. If some are active members rather than ancestral profiles, may be you can message them and ask if it appears they might be in your family also. One person's direct line ancestor can be someone else's aunt, uncle or cousin in some way. I met one earlier this week and opened a whole new path to cousins and people who were brick walls.
You could also try using the Relationship finder at the bottom of the profile page for any profile and see if there is any relationship to you.
If you have a profile with family relationships, like father and son, you can use the RootsSearch feature located on the right side towards the middle of any profile page and do a search in FamilySearch records, Ancestry if you have an account or any of the other external websites connected there. This might lead to vital records, census and others that might give you clues to the family/person.
Use WikiTreeX app to locate profiles in Family Search [FSFTID number] and update a profile or add new profiles for family members that aren't on WIkiTree. The Help Index can get you to info on that. There are also videos that can help - WIkiTree TV and Data Doctors Project Video Collection on these topics.
Happy Hunting and hope this helps. Stay safe.
