I have read the Sticker help page and I have no idea what it means or how I actually add a sticker.

I want to add the United Empire Loyalist sticker to William McClellan
WikiTree profile: William McClellan

You find the sticker you want to add, then put {{Sticker}} in the biography box, underneath the heading ==Biography-==

Such as {{England Sticker}} or {{Died Young}}

The one you want is {{United Empire Loyalist}}

Take a look at this page: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:United_Empire_Loyalist

Thanks, but I don't understand the process, this is the box I see, what do I do next? It says to add this sticker to a profile, place the string similar to the text in Code used:

What is a string, what do I do with it? A one step at a time explanation would be helpful,

Name: United Empire Loyalist
Type: Sticker
Group: Military
Subgroup:
Status: Unknown
Usage: Pages using the template
Usage on profiles: Parameter usage on profiles
Edit: Template Documentation

Sorry, I thought I did a one-step-at-a-time.

Go to William McClellan's profile and onto the Edit tab.  I have added the sticker for you, so you can see where it belongs.

You might prefer
{{United Empire Loyalist|status=Expunged|date=23 May 1783}} - and fill in the 'Expunged' and '23 May 1783' relevant to William McClellan).
Thanks, there are many techie type things that completely confuse me and not just on WikiTree.

I guess they seem like a recipe that says combine all listed ingredients and cook until done. I need all the in between steps
When a sticker has 'parameters' which are the extra things that are added after those vertical lines, some of them are required, some are optional.  Usually the 'parameter name' has to precede the equal sign also. The required versus optional part should be stated on the template page in a box down near the bottom with some examples of what the template / sticker would look like when added to the biography.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions,

I found the template for it and after 3 hours stumbled onto the parameters page, have no idea exactly what that really means but guessed they may be options for what the sticker says.

I still have no idea how to create a edited sticker but did manage to edit the one that Ros Haywood posted to change it to proven with the correct date. I edited that on the profile page.

Maybe we need The Completely Tech Inept WT members guide for this type of thing. I don't want to have to ask for help and get someone else to add stickers for me every time I need one
